Shout Out To Summer!!!

Do you love all things Science, Plants, and Animals? Join our Pokemon Professors where you will learn about Chemistry, Biology, and Ecology with the fan-favorite lessons from this summer. Each student will get a booster pack of Pokemon cards to compare and contrast characteristics with real-life animals. Learn all about the properties of water, and get some cool chemistry supplies. Make an Alolan Grimer slime with the power of safe chemical reactions. Finally, build your very own craft stick flashlight that can light up the darkest of caves. "You teach me and I’ll teach you, Po-ke-mon! Gotta Catch 'em all"!
Hardware Requirements: Personal Computer or tablet. Must be able to log into Zoom and Google Classroom.

Materials: Provided with registration. Requires material pick up 8/21/2020.

Grade Levels: Kinder (Parent and Me), 1st-3rd, 4th-5th
(Note: 1st Grade students may also need parental assistance for certain projects).

Engineering: City Design Lab

Sketch, Design, Build! Imagine a livable city designed just for you (by you!). Learn about human-scale, livable cities, and the different components that make a city thrive. Do hands-on design challenges to build your favorite city structures! Learn what makes a tower tall and a bridge strong. Explore environmental planning as you design an animal corridor. Learn the laws of physics by constructing a roller coaster amusement park for your city! Learn to use computer cad programs to design 3D models online. Sketch, design, and build your dream city!

Hardware Requirements: Personal Computer: Mac or Windows. Must be able to log into Zoom and Google Classroom.

Brick Lab: Journey to Japan

All aboard brick lab builders and take a voyage, using LEGO® bricks, to the land of cat cafes, Pokemon, sushi, and the neon-lit Akihabara! Young brick builders will construct eastern temples, cherry blossom trees, and the Ring of Fire---the most dangerous volcanoes in the world! Students will explore the Japanese culture and learn the history of emperors, ninjas, and samurais! Each week will feature unique projects designed to encourage problem-solving, critical thinking, visual-spatial reasoning, creativity, and teamwork. Join us as you challenge your creativity and discover the amazing wonders of Japan. The equivalent to the Lego® medium creative brick box is required. Must be purchased separately. ADULT ASSISTANCE REQUIRED FOR KINDER STUDENTS.
