Gifted and Talented Station

Gifted Conference

The STAR Gifted and Talented Resource Station presented a free conference to a capacity crowd of parents on “Developing Giftedness in Your Teens and Tweens”. The conference explored topics such as keys to developing talent, planning a road map to college, and supporting the social and emotional needs of children. Speakers included James Webb, Ph.D., nationally recognized clinical psychologist, author, and frequent lecturer on gifted education, and Robin Schader, Ph.D., a professor at the NEAG Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development at the University of Connecticut. Everyone in attendance found it a useful and informative experience, and we look forward to reaching even more parents at our next conference.

Check back for Fall 2010 conference dates and information coming soon.
